As of late, Denver has been establishing itself as on of the best cities to perform in. With weeknight shows just as packed as Friday and Saturday night affairs. This held true when Irish rockers Inhaler brought their new album ‘Cuts and Bruises’ to the mile high city on March 27th. Arriving in Denver to a sold out Monday night show at the Summit Music Hall.

Joined by up-and-coming San Diego surf-rock revivalists Sun Room, Inhaler have been trekking across North America on a 24 date US tour. Sum Room kicked the night off by bringing the warmth of the California coast the cold Denver night. Their set highlighted by hard hitting, 60’s rock inspired tracks off their latest EP ‘Outta Their Minds’.

Not slowed by the altitude, Inhaler hit the stage engulfed in blinding light by their impressive stage light setup, painting the band in an iridescent glow as they started their set with ‘These Are The Days’. The feel-good high energy track energized an already ecstatic crowd, hot off of Sun Room’s stellar performance. Inhaler was locked in and their energy as a group was tight from the second they hit the stage. Each group member fed off of each others energy, pushing the performance to new heights with each song.

Well deserved cheers of “We love you” poured to the stage after every song. Inhaler had the crowd entirely enthralled as they made their way through the high energy set. A perfect mix of songs new and old filled the set list. The carful pairing of each song with a stunning and unique light display made each song feel even more captivating.

The show hit an apex mid-set as the first snare hits of ‘When it Breaks’ snapped through the room. From the foot of the stage to bar in the back of the venue, the infectious grooves had almost every concert goer dancing and bouncing along. Things slowed down as the band slid into the more atmospheric energy of ‘Perfect Storm’, a stunning juxtaposition of the prior song yet performed with just as much passion.

The momentum and crowd energy didn’t falter once as Inhaler blazed through the final third of their set. The rock continued as the band wrapped the show up with the bouncy track ‘Who’s Your Money On?’. The roar of the crowd didn’t stop for a moment before the group returned to the stage for an encore of ‘Cheer Up Baby’, The title of the track almost a command to the crowd who didn’t want Inhaler’s amazing performance to end.

Inhaler is a young band, but have the charisma and tried and true rock energy that will keep them blessing the world with great music for long to come. You wont want to miss them the next time they are playing in your city.

Catch Inhaler back in the US for the Outsidelands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco this August.
