Courtney Barnett’s Here and There Festival arrives in Denver this weekend.
Denver’s Mission Ballroom will be graced with the Here and There Festival this Saturday, September 3rd. The unique 15 date traveling festival presents different lineups each show, all curated by Australian Singer-Songwriter Courtney Barnett. Denver’s stop of the tour features Japanese Breakfast, Arooj Afjab and Bedouine along side Barnett.
Here and There brings Japanese Breakfast back to Denver for the first time this year. Following the huge success of the Grammy nominated album Jubilee and a large run of festival dates throughout the summer, it is great to see Japanese Breakfast back in Colorado and this will be a set you won’t want to miss.
Courtney Barnett is renowned as “one of Australia’s most successful musical exports” and that’s for good reason. Barnett’s standout guitar tone and imaginative lyrics that paint vivid stories have propelled her to the ambitious and respected position to put on a nationwide festival here in the states.
Bedouine is a highlight on the lineup with her striking distinct vocals, folk melodies and charming retro vibes that hit on all the best aspects of 70’s folk.
Grammy nominated Brooklyn based Pakistani songwriter-composer Arooj Aftab rounds out the line up. Her renowned latest album Vulture Prince has been a stand out, finding its way to be included in President Obama’s yearly Summer Playlist.
Catch Here and There at The Mission Ballroom on Saturday September 3rd at 5pm.
